Snippet
A saved expansion: a short trigger that inserts a longer piece of text.
A snippet stores text you would rather not speak or type in full: a sign-off, an address, a standard review line. You invoke it with the trigger you configured. The inserted text is only as careful as what you saved.
In Murmur, snippets sit next to the custom dictionary. They are part of dictation on the Mac, not a separate cloud snippet service we describe. Create one, dictate in the app that should receive it, and read the expansion before you rely on it. Details are in Custom dictionary and snippets.
