Hotkey dictation

Hold a keyboard shortcut, speak, and have the text typed where the cursor already is.

A hotkey is a shortcut you press or hold. For dictation, holding it is the signal that the next audio should become text. The destination is the focused app, which means the insertion point you left behind is the insertion point you get.

Murmur works this way: hold the hotkey, speak, and the text is typed into any app. The model is local. Put the cursor in the email body or the manuscript first, as in Dictate emails on a Mac and Voice typing for writers.
