Disk Housekeeper

Disk Housekeeper and DaisyDisk

DaisyDisk is known for showing where space went. Disk Housekeeper is a cleaner with a menu bar readout and a preview. You may want the map, the clean, or both.

A visual map of a disk and a cleaner are different jobs. DaisyDisk is a Mac app people use to see large files. Disk Housekeeper shows free space in the menu bar and can remove developer caches and node_modules after a preview, with the Trash as the default.

This page does not claim DaisyDisk cannot delete, and it does not claim it can, beyond telling you to check. It also does not quote a price. If your problem is 'what is using the space,' a map may be the right first tool. If your problem is 'remove these recreatable caches,' start with Clean npm, Gradle, and Cargo caches.

Questions

Should I replace a disk map with Disk Housekeeper?

Only if the job is the clean. Seeing a sunburst and previewing a removal of DerivedData are different tasks. Use the tool that matches the task.

Do you integrate with DaisyDisk?

No integration is described. They are separate apps.
